Susan R. Wasserman has been a member of the California State Bar since 1976 and New York since 1981. She opened her own law practice in Los Angeles, California in 1981. Born in Brooklyn, NY, and educated at UCLA and Southwestern University School of Law, Susan Wasserman's legal background includes employment as a Deputy Public Defender I, II, & III in Contra Costa County. She was also an Attorney Advisor for the Social Security Administration, Office of Hearings & Appeals in Long Beach, California. After suffering her own debilitating disability in 1992, she has committed her office resources to representing the most under represented segment of society -- the Disabled.
James P. Shea
Received his B.A. and M.A. from Loyola University in Los Angeles. He received a Ph.D. in English Literature from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles. Mr. Shea is licensed to practice law in both California and Washington. He formerly taught English and Business Law at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He joined the firm as an associate attorney in 1993 and continues to represent disabled claimants. He was formerly the Chairperson of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Social Security Section. He is currently a Board Certified Social Security Disability Specialist by the National Board of Social Security Disability Advocacy, a State Bar of California approved agency. As of February, 2009, he is one of only five attorneys in California to be board certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification for Social Security Disability Advocacy.
Jennifer L. Cho
Jennifer Cho received a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA in 1989. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law in July of 1994. She worked as a paralegal in the Law Offices of Susan R. Wasserman throughout her undergraduate and law school studies and then joined the firm as an associate attorney upon being admitted to the California Bar in December, 1994. Jennifer is also board certified by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification for Social Security Disability Advocacy.
Sarah Rosenblatt
Sarah Rosenblatt received her undergraduate degree from UCLA before attending Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. As a law student, she worked as a law clerk in the Disability Rights Legal Center (sponsored and operated through the auspices of Loyola Law School) and also as a
clerk at Community Legal Services legal aid organization. Her commitment to community service has continued well after her graduation from Law School, and is evidenced by the considerable amount of volunteer pro bono work she has done on behalf of the Harriett Buhai Center For Family Law. In her present position as an advocate on behalf of the disabled, Sarah is not only a hard working attorney, but a caring one as well.
